Letter: Cannabis meeting at Rossmoor

August 12, 2018 by Editor 1 Comment

Cannabis meeting at Rossmoor

Benicia residents, especially seniors and veterans, with an interest in how cannabis works to relieve pain, inflammation, and stress are invited to attend the next meeting of the Rossmoor Medical (Cannabis) Club, on Tuesday, Aug. 14, Diablo Room, Hillside Clubhouse, 7:15 p.m. The guest lecturer is an expert botanist/herbalist. You will learn that you do not have to be “high” to experience relief. Rossmoor is a senior retirement community in Walnut Creek.

Close to a thousand members now, about two hundred at monthly meetings. These active seniors want a dispensary in their new shopping center but WC prohibits storefront sales, although they recently caved to allowing delivery, driven largely by seniors, with about nine thousand at Rossmoor.
These motivated seniors are backing a young man in order to begin dislodging the hard-liners off the WC city council in November. Senior consumers are the fastest-growing consumer group.

The Solano County library system has a growing inventory of cannabis-related books. Stay abreast of emerging science and policy that is normalizing cannabis to where it was prior to 1937.

Excerpts from Benicia cannabis RFP: “In this spirit of embracing new economic frontiers”…”Today Benicia is once again looking actively to the future by embracing the potential of the cannabis industry”…”Cannabis businesses in Benicia have the potential to tap into not just the neighborhood consumer base but regional consumer bases as well.”

The Measure E projections suggest $1.4 million annually.

This is the course Benicia is taking, Check out a book, wise up, pull a Boehner and win the second seat.
