Vallejo tops BHS badminton

April 2, 2015 by Steve Guertin Leave a Comment

Benicia High’s badminton team still hasn’t found a way to solve Vallejo after losing to the Lady Redhawks last Tuesday, 12-3.

The Lady Panthers fell to 9-3 overall and 5-2 in the Solano County Athletic Conference. Both of Benicia’s SCAC losses have come against unbeaten Vallejo.

Jeanette Burdick won her No. 3 singles match in three sets for Benicia. Danielle Lozada and Regina Salvador teamed up for a sweep in their No. 5 doubles match, while Alvina Phouasalit and Keialani Rom swept their No. 7 doubles match.

Benicia doesn’t play again until April 14 at home against Bethel.
