Vallejo man killed by unknown shooter

November 4, 2014 by Donna Beth Weilenman Leave a Comment

Vallejo police are searching for a shooter who killed a 19-year-old Vallejo man Monday morning, Captain James O’Connell of the department’s Bureau of Support Services, said.

The department’s communications center received multiple reports from those who said they heard the sound of gunfire in the vicinity of Hayman and Maple streets, and some callers said a person had been shot.

Patrol officers and detectives found a man, identified as Isaac Lopez-Reid, who had been wounded, O’Connell said. The man was sent to a trauma center, he said, but died of his injuries.

He asked anyone with information about the homicide to call Detectives Drew Ramsay or Fabio Rodriguez, 707-648-4524, Vallejo police at 800-488-9383 or Solano Crime Stoppers’ tipline, 707-644-STOP (7867).

Solano Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for phone tips that result in the solution of violent or serious crimes.
