Vallejo ferry to run on schedule

September 25, 2014 by Donna Beth Weilenman Leave a Comment

The Vallejo ferry will operate Friday on its normal schedule, according to MacKenzie Communications, the agency handling media services for San Francisco Bay Ferry.

That ferry service, which includes the Vallejo ferry, will not be on strike Friday, according to a statement released Thursday by the firm.

“The regular weekday service remains in effect for all San Francisco Bay Ferry routes,” the company said.

The regular weekend schedule will be in effect Saturday and Sunday, including service to and from Oakland, Alameda, AT&T Park for San Francisco Giants games and Vallejo.

On the other hand, Golden Gate Ferry workers said they would be striking Friday, shutting down service from Larkspur and Corte Madera to San Francisco, the statement said, in an announcement that “has generated confusion among passengers and media.”

The strike by Golden Gate Ferry employees does not affect the San Francisco Bay Ferry, the statement explained.
