The A Cappella Handyman: Nouns & Verbs

February 15, 2018 by Peter Bray Leave a Comment

Nouns and verbs,
and all your prepositions too,
adjectives, conjunctions,
stir in a few –
What am I gonna
write about tonight?
Deadline up ahead,
don’t wanna be uptight.
Add my favorite
soup ingredients too,
potato soup base,
good-sized can of Niblets corn
will add to the view.
Fry up some bacon,
drain it well,
minced garlic, butter,
salt and pepper, mushrooms –
Current Events,
Yeah, that’ll stir up a bunch!
Some’ll have to read this column
TWICE, before and after lunch.
All of Trump’s Cabinet!
Every last one!
I’m sure that’s how
Molly Ivins had her fun,
go right down the list,
misspell names,
for a barnyard twist.
When is Robert Mueller gonna
drop his last Kaboom,
indict the whole bunch,
fill up every room and cell
at Guantanamo,
invite Putin as Starwitness,
ask him how he does it?
How many hackers
does it take to tweek
US marginal voting states?
Change their color from light Blue to Red?
All digital or any Food dyes too?
Special software?
Firewall destroyers?
How many voyeurs,
or ARE they all KGB?
Pay them all
or will they work for free?
Intimidations or sanctions too?
Threaten their lives?
How’s the job opportunities
in Deepest, Darkest Russia?
Any good money-laundering
or Real Estate opportunities for You-know-who?
We can trade hours for Golden Rain Makers,
and have we got some Great Memo writers!
We can redact the US Constitution!
And we know how to stir up nuclear
side wars as space fillers in any good Reality
TV Show, after all isn’t this just GREAT
Show business? Pump the TV ratings,
throw in some off-the-wall Donald Tweets,
and some Sniffing, yeah, Sniffing,
that really colored the debates of
2016, sounded like being a Doper
really pumped the ratings to Over the top.
Pathetic reality TV, Trump’s daily GOLF schedule
vs-the Kardashians. To hell with everything else
like TREASON and Gross Conflicts of Interest!
And let’s quiet down all that $2.6 trillion talk
STOLEN from the Social Security Trust Fund
to bolster former failing budgets and administrations.
The Seniors and elderly,
and Veterans, what do they need
to know about
How We Run the Gov’ment?
Nouns and Verbs, Man –
Just Nouns and Verbs.
Go for their Social Security
and Medicare next.
