Fire guts West K Street home

A TWO-ALARM FIRE ON THE 1200 BLOCK OF WEST K STREET destroyed a home Saturday evening, lifting huge plumes of smoke into the air that were visible for miles. The residents were able to get to safety, according to a Benicia Fire Department news release, and are staying with friends. A pet is reportedly missing.
