Benicia High’s Nick Strohl, Taylor Lokey and Allison Yip each won individual varsity titles at the Solano County Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships at Corbus Field in Vallejo.
Strohl won the varsity boys 1600 meters in 4:409.91, beating second place by nearly eight seconds. Strohl also finished third in the 3200 meters (10:56.35) for the Panther boys, who finished fourth as a team in the SCAC with 42 points. Vanden won the boys team championship with 164 points, well ahead of American Canyon (124.5) and Vallejo (110.5).
Lokey, only a sophomore, won the girls varsity high jump with a leap of four feet, 10 inches. Yip took first place in the girls 3200 meters (12:14.38). The Lady Panthers also finished fourth (78 points) while Vanden (158) took the team title.
A handful of other Panthers will join Strohl, Lokey and Yip at the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II/III Trials beginning Wednesday at Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks. The top four finishers in each SCAC Championship event qualified for Sections.
Zoe Bumgarner took second in the girls 1600 (5:38.71) and third in the 800 (2:34.89). Yip also qualified in the 800 by taking fourth (2:36.01). Lauren Thomas finished second in the discus (87-4) with Brittany Willis fourth (76-2). Sheridan Kazek took third in the long jump (15-3) and Jade Gomez took fourth in the 300 meter hurdles (55.07).

Sophomore Imani McNorton took second in the discus (128-0) and fourth in the shot put (38-8) for the Panther boys. John Kuta was fourth in the 1600 (5:05.63).
