The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High boys varsity volleyball team moved one win away from another unbeaten league season with a 25-21, 25-17, 25-23 victory at St. Joe’s on Tuesday.

Deo Boongaling had nine kills and six digs for the Bruins, who improved to 23-9 overall and 15-0 in the Tri-County Athletic League. Patrick Basco added eight kills and five blocks, Dominic Nicolas had 20 assists and seven digs, and Alex Olmnes had seven kills and nine digs.

Other contributors for the Bruins on Tuesday were Max King (seven kills), Mark Perez (seven kills), Anthony Olmes (14 assists) and John Cuevas (13 digs).

The Bruins are already guaranteed the top seed for the TCAL playoffs, which begin next week. SPSV hasn’t lost a league match since 2008 and will be gunning for its seventh consecutive league tournament championship.
