The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High boys varsity volleyball team remained perfect in the Tri-County Athletic League after a solid 25-14, 25-16, 25-12 victory at St. Mary’s on Wednesday.
The Bruins (13-7, 8-0 TCAL) served for several aces and rarely let St. Mary’s establish any kind of rhythm.
“We had really good passing, and our serve receives and defense were really good,” said senior Deo Boongaling. “We didn’t have to run a lot and our offense was crisp and clean.”
Sophomore outside hitter Alex Olmes led the Bruins with six kills and four digs. Boongaling added three kills and four digs, and Dominic Nicolas had 12 assists and two aces. Other contributors for SPSV included John Cuevas (six digs) and Mark Perez (six digs).
The Bruins have won six straight league championships and haven’t lost a league match since 2008.
