SPSV baseball loses late

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High varsity baseball team couldn’t hold on to a late lead against St. Joe’s on Wednesday and lost to the Pilots, 8-4.

The Bruins (3-6, 1-5 Tri-County Athletic League) had a 4-3 lead entering the bottom of the sixth inning, but St. Joe’s (6-6, 3-3 TCAL) rallied for five runs and held the Bruins scoreless in the seventh.

Triston Foley went the first five innings for the Bruins and allowed only one earned run on six hits. James Terrell went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, Tavian Henderson went 2-for-3, and Fred Seto went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.

The Bruins host Bethel on Tuesday.
