Staff Report

SolTrans will be hosting a series of meetings and workshops in Benicia and Vallejo to allow the public to provide input with the revision of local service. The goal of the meetings is to help SolTrans improve its local routes, General Public Dial-A-Ride and Local Taxi Scrip services.

The first workshop will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25 at the Solano Community College Vallejo campus, located at 545 Columbus Parkway. The second workshop will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26 during the Benicia Certified Farmers Market, held at the foot of First Street. Additional workshop dates and times will be announced later.

Additionally, a public meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at the Benicia Public Library, located at 150 East L St. This will be preceded by two meetings from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 23 and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, both at the SolTrans O&M Facility, located at 1850 Broadway st. in Vallejo.

For those who are unable to attend but want to provide feedback, go to SolTransRide.com and leave local service suggestions in the comment form. Information from the public meetings, workshops and public input will be used in a study to improve SolTrans’ local service. All service change proposals will be brought back for public comment this winter.
