As of press time, the fire had burned more than 44,500 acres and was only 4 percent contained, although Solano County was not threatened. In other Northern California fire-related news, a fire captain with the Benicia Fire Department was sent out to Lake County to help contain the Pawnee Fire. (Photo by Andrea Gill)
