Letters: Vallejo Admirals and Buddy Poppy drive

June 5, 2018 by Editor Leave a Comment

Support the Admirals

I had so much fun at opening night for our Vallejo Admirals on Thursday May 31! We best Pittsburgh 15-3! We beat them again on Friday June 1! Going to the Admirals’ games is the highlight of my summer season. For just $5 a ticket (cheaper if you get the group rate or have a season pass), you can go and enjoy our local baseball team, the 2017 Pacific Association Champions. The hot dogs, nachos, hamburgers and all the food they serve tastes excellent and is very reasonably priced. You can’t have this much fun for this low of a price anywhere else. A game at the Admirals is the perfect date night, family outing, company celebration or evening out alone.
Our Admirals baseball team is a local treasure. We all should all support our 2017 Pacific Association Champions. I am making it a goal this year to go to every single home game and at least one away game. I encourage everyone to go to at least one game this year. Check their website for their schedule and more information (http://vallejoadmirals.com/).
GO ADMIRALS! Let’s keep our Pacific Championship title!

Stephen Hallett,
Vallejo

Memorial Day thanks

I’d like to thank the people of Benicia for their generous donations and kind words during our Memorial Day weekend “Buddy Poppy” drive. We appreciate the support from our fine citizens.
