Letters: Thank you note and Thompson’s offshore oil drilling vote

April 10, 2018 by Editor Leave a Comment

Solano County Friends of Animals says thanks

All of the volunteers who are dedicated to the animal rescue and adoption efforts of SCFOA want to thank every donor who has sent money to our organization during our ongoing “Give A Buck” campaign.  We write personal thank you notes to each donor for whom we have contact information but are always concerned that anonymous donors and/or generous people who donate online may not receive our notes of appreciation. So we all want to say thank you!  Every dollar raised goes directly to aid of mission of “no more homeless pets”!  Donations are always welcome-– more than you can know –- and can be sent to Solano County Friends of Animals, PO Box 235, Benicia CA 94510
We thank you – and the animals thank you!

Georgia Benedict,
Benicia

Thompson’s oil drilling vote record

On March 27 in Sausalito, my opponent Mike Thompson said was he “100 percent against any drilling off our coast,” noting that if there was an oil spill “it would never be cleaned up.” That’s interesting, because 10 years ago, he had a chance to vote to protect our shores from drilling and instead voted with Republicans against HR 6899. Look it up.
Mr. Thompson is known for supporting causes that he knows will be unsuccessful, such as protecting our environment from an anti-environment GOP stranglehold or suddenly supporting single payer health care after years of being against it when Democrats had control. It’s a fake resistance, designed to look like he isn’t supporting the very corrupt establishment, which he is.

Green Party congressional candidate
