Letters: Spring Into Giving a success

June 11, 2017 by Editor Leave a Comment

Spring Into Giving a success

Benicia Main Street would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out with our recent event, Spring Into Giving, to help support local families in need.
Spring Into Giving took place from May 6 to May 20, 2017. During that period, local First Street businesses offered special discounts to anyone who brought a donation for the Benicia Family Resource Center to our office at 90 First Street. We received many generous donations that will help the Benicia Police Department to provide much-needed emergency supplies to families, including four large boxes of supplies and a personal check for $400.
Merchants offering special discounts for the event were: All About Beauty Day Spa, Angel Heart 4 You, Artcentric, Charlie’s Attic, Christina S, Elisa’s Closet, First Street Café, Golden Horse Shoe, Heritage Pantry & Spice, Lindsay Art Glass, Pups N Purrz, Roberto’s Fine Jewelry, The Steffen Collection, Timeless Memories, Tina Marie’s and Wellness Wisdom.
Benicia Main Street accepts donations for the Resource Center throughout the year. Suggested donation items include new diapers, baby wipes, baby shampoo & bath soap, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, hair brushes, toothpaste & toothbrushes, shampoo & conditioner, and body wash.
Thank you to all who participated in this special community event!
