Seeking WWII veterans for Memorial Day ceremony

This year’s Benicia Memorial Day ceremony will be on Monday, May 29, beginning at 10 a.m. at the historic Benicia Military Cemetery. The ceremony is sponsored by the Benicia Historical Society, and all are invited. Each year we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, as well as all veterans and those currently serving our nation. The Benicia Military Cemetery is the oldest U.S. military cemetery on the West Coast, with graves dating to the 1840s.
This year we wish to dedicate the ceremony to our World War II veterans who are living in or are from the area. If you know of someone from our area who served in the military during World War II and wishes to be recognized during the ceremony, please contact me at the following:

Wally Stephens
Benicia Historical Society

(707) 745-8384

Please provide World War II veteran’s name, branch of service and years served in the military if possible, as well as whether veteran will be able to attend the ceremony.
Thanks,

Wally Stephens,
Benicia
