If the NFL Players kneel or raise fists in disrespect for the national anthem or flag, let them give up their bloated salaries the U.S. system lets them receive and go to another country where they can respect its national anthem and flag.

I have no idea who they represent. Whoever they are, their complaints about “bloated salaries the U.S. system lets them receive” (Also known as Capitalism. I suppose the author would prefer the government control the economy instead?), and their insistance that exercising free speech is grounds to request removal are comically short-sighted and childish. Maybe they just need a Safe Space so their feelings don’t get hurt so badly.

Oh, it is perfectly understandable. You not understanding concepts isn’t exactly unusual. I’ll try to scale it down for you.

The U.S system lets them receive? That system is Capitalism. People pay to watch games, and the players get paid. Why is the author criticizing this? Do they have a problem with people being compensated based on how much the market is willing to give?

There is ZERO reason anyone should have to do this. Nobody is required to perform specific actions to honor the country. America’s core beliefs demand that all citizens have the right to act as they wish, excepting criminal acts. Demanding citizens act a certain way “for the country” is not at all a free country.

My answer on the state/”county card was correct. I said at present the state/”county card is the same as a recommendation by a Doctor. That is true. After the first of the year that all changes. The state/”county card will make you exempt from taxes. A doctor recommendation will not exempt you from taxes. At present there is tax on Medical Cannabis. So as you see TGP you do not understand the whole process. I do. The big difference at present is none. After the first of the year it will be taxes. You do not have to have a state/”county card to purchase medical cannabis.

The players do go other countries and show respect for their flags: Mexico and England to be specific. It is only the American flag they seek to disrespect.

Players have every right to protest as they wish. The owners have every right to deal with contracts as they wish. Fans and viewers have every right to act as they wish.
Bottom line: the NFL is losing viewers and advertisers. The brand is being hurt. Will the owners act to protect their own interests? I don’t know. But … the majority of football fans do not appreciate the protests as they interpret the acts as disrespect towards the flag, the country, and the police.
The market will decide.
I totally agree. Let people’s reactions and purchases determine the outcome. No need to request anything more than the will of people.
