Just the facts
This is in response to Susan Street’s March 14 letter. I can take critical responses on anything I write, but my suggestion is to not make a personal attack on me or the facts. I write a lot of letters, and they are, in most cases, backed up with facts when necessary. It appears you do not like my facts. My suggestion is to check them out and then make comments/suggestions on those facts. I do understand the budget very well.
By the way, I talk to Councilmember Campbell all the time plus other councilmembers and many city employees at the director level, city manager and city attorney. I do know what I am talking about. If you wish to challenge my facts please point out where I am wrong. Making it personal does not get the answers. I do not complain, I just state the facts.
It now appears you are the one complaining and whining about my fact-driven letters on issues this city is facing. It appears you either do not know the issues or have a plan to get the city through this financial quandary. What I wrote about the wonderful city employees was right on, and I assume you and many others were not aware of the city employees’ sacrifices.
I do know all about the Amports revenue issue and how it’s moving forward. My concerns are for this very fine city. I make my contributions by writing and letting the residents know the facts. You do not nor does anyone else. I may be a lone voice, but that voice is very important. Not just to me but many other residents. My approach is fact-driven and to the point. You appear to not like that approach. I will not change my style for you.
Stay tuned, there will be more from “The Owl.” I do care about this wonderful city.
