AAUW says thanks

On behalf of the Benicia-Vallejo branch of the American Association of University Women, I wish to thank the businesses that donated gift certificates, supplies, services, and other raffle items to help make our Jan. 21 fundraiser a great success. As a result of their generosity, as well as donations from several AAUW members, we are able to fund scholarships for five seventh-grade girls from Benicia and Vallejo middle schools to attend Tech Trek, a weeklong residential science and math summer camp.
Thank you to:
Palermos Restaurant, Trader Joe’s Concord, Sandoval’s Mexican Food, Arts Benicia, Pedrotti ACE Hardware, Lindsay Art Glass, Costco Wholesale, First Street Café, Studio 41, Mozart Einstein & Me, Starbucks Solano Square, Pups & Purrz, Griffin Fitness, Benicia Coffee Company, Roberto’s Fine Jewelry, Union Hotel Restaurant, Camellia Tea Room, Lucca Bar and Grill, Jazzercise Benicia, Wholeself Health, Fantastic Sam’s Hair Salon, Meyer Corporation, Kinder’s Meat Deli BBQ, North Capital Inc, SAC’s Hot Dogs and Congressman Mike Thompson.
Also, I would like to give special thanks to all the members of AAUW who helped to organize and make raffle baskets, gather donations, provided sweets and beverages, and covered all the details that helped make our 23rd annual January Bunco fundraiser a great success.
AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. We appreciate the support of our Benicia Vallejo Community.

Mary Hammonds,
AAUW Event Chair
