Letters: A tribute to veterans

November 9, 2016 by Editor

Tribute to veterans

The men and women of the United States armed services are warriors of the finest caliber. Duty alone calls them to fight on the battlefield. As with all true warriors throughout time, they are selfless. Such warriors have entered combat only to defend their god, their lord or their nation. The American Warrior defends our country which is the host to freedom and a beacon of liberty. Our warriors will only fail in our defense when we ourselves lay down in the face of the greatest challenge: the challenge of creating a lasting peace far from the front lines of conflict.

Sharon Emes, Benicia
