Letter: Thank you for supporting Matthew Turner Elementary

April 18, 2018 by Editor Leave a Comment

Thank you for supporting Matthew Turner Elementary

On behalf of the Matthew Turner Elementary Parent Teacher Association, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s auction and dinner fundraiser on April 14 at the historic Benicia Clock Tower.
The event was a great success with the proceeds going to fund school events, technology in the classroom, outdoor education, playground improvements and renovations to the art room and library.  The tremendous support confirms that the friends of Matthew Turner Elementary are committed to providing students with the highest quality education possible in Benicia.
We have a long list of educators, parents, families, sponsors and Benicia businesses to thank, including the staff at the city of Benicia Parks & Community Services Department. Without their generosity, the fundraiser wouldn’t have been possible.  Their giving is a tribute to their commitment and community service that extends beyond Matthew Turner Elementary.
In addition, we thank the many volunteers who contributed to the event’s success.  The volunteers helped before, during and after the fundraiser.
Our students dream big, and we greatly appreciate the community support in turning these visions in reality.

Lionel Largaespada;
Donations/Sponsorships Chair, Matthew Turner Elementary Parent Teacher Association Auction Committee
