Letter: Teaching scholarships available

February 20, 2018 by Editor Leave a Comment

Teaching scholarships available

Each year, scholarships are available to residents of Solano County who have bachelor’s degrees and are seeking California teaching credentials. These applicants must be studying at accredited universities.  The scholarships are made available through the C. Shirley Michel Scholarship Fund, administered by Division No. 24 of the California Retired Teachers Association.  Last year, nine $2,500 scholarships were awarded.
Every school district in the county and several nearby universities have information on the application process.  In addition, those interested can contact me for further information at tacyc@pacbell.net or (707) 718-3027
