A strong start on Senior Night didn’t sustain the St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls varsity volleyball team Thursday as the Lady Bruins fell to first-place St. Joe’s 21-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-23.
St. Joe’s senior Rebecca Langowski pummeled the Lady Bruins with 20 kills and teammate Emma Doud added 14 kills as the Lady Pilots improved to 8-0 in the Tri-County Athletic League.
“They had a really good outside hitter and their serving was really good, but we still feel we can beat them,” said SPSV senior Julia Kistner, who had five assists and 13 digs.
SPSV senior Malia Bolko had eight kills, four aces and 10 digs while fellow senior Kristina Manuel added 11 assists and 11 digs. Senior Taylor Castro had two kills, two assists and two digs.
