I live in California
Pretty close to San Francisco
Not right in The City
But so near that I can say so
When I’m driving in my car
And traffic’s getting rough
I try to hold my temper
Until I’ve just had enough
I see all kinds of people
In the cars I see surround me
But there’s a special sort
Whose driving manners always hound me
I see them in their tiny cars
They don’t drive trucks or vans
Stickers reading, “Vote for Peace”
And, “Love Your Fellow Man”
I can deal with rednecks
In their Camo pickup trucks
And any creed or color
When the traffic really sucks
I don’t mind folks
Gay or straight
Fat, slender or transgender
Middle class or homeless
Penny pinchers
Or big spenders
But when I need to merge I find
That much to my chagrin
Liberals in electric cars
Will never let me in
