WE KNOW MORE SPANISH THAN WE THINK
And use it all the time
Like, “Uno mas tequila.”
And, “Cerveza con la lime.”
To find a bathroom we would say
When we have got to go
“Donde esta el bano” (please)
They point and then we know
To ask someone we simply say
The two words, “Por favor.”
To thank them we say, “Gracias.”
But wait! There still is more
Our many friends from Mexico
Who taught these words we say
Brought and gave a gift from home
A very special day
Here come the mariachi bands
There’s one thing that I know
The party’s almost here my friends
Pronounced, “Cinco de Mayo!”
