I always try to get it right
And sometimes I come near
Alas, right seems elusive;
Unattainable I fear

I always thought if I did wrong
Something I tried to do
That finally I would get it right
After a time or two

But when I turn my gaze upon
The things that I have done
If truth be told, there’s something wrong
With every single one

And so amidst the never’s
And unlikely’s that I get
I’m still trying to get it right
But it’s not been right yet
