AS WE TURN ON OUR TV SETS
And tune into the news
We see the world turned upside-down
While people sing the blues
Through time we start to phase it out
Our minds create a buffer
And we become desensitized
As we watch strangers suffer
So many problems in the world
And so much tragedy
We’d like to help but where to start’s
Not clear it seems to me
Maybe we should look around
And turn off our TVs
And find someone who needs some help
In our locality
If we all pay it forward
Helping out our fellow man
We’ll slowly change the world you see
On our installment plan
