THERE ARE THINGS THAT WE MUST DO
And there are things we want
Our struggles to align them
Were discussed in depth by Kant
Logic needs to take control
And hold back fleeting whim
Or else we might not really know
If we will sink or swim
We’ve all been there and gone for it
As we stick out our necks
After all we now and then
Just say “Oh what the heck!”
A sense of duty serves us well
Avoid those rash temptations
The road to ruin is always paved
With foolish inclinations
