Jeff Burkhart’s ‘Rhyme and Reason’: Ho Hum

March 4, 2014 by Jeff Burkhart Leave a Comment

SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME
What yawning’s all about
The studies can’t explain it
And have left us all in doubt
Maybe it’s a vestige
Of some long-past evolution
Or perhaps it clears our brains
Of CO2 pollution
And what is yawn contagiousness
We do it when we see it?
All at once we get the urge
And then we have to free it!
Do we yawn to cool our heads
Or just because we’re sleepy
To not know why we yawn at all
Just seems a little creepy
