I CAN’T HEAR YOU PLEASE SPEAK UP
I’m kind of hard of hearing
I fear it’s only getting worse
As my old age is nearing
Lighting concerts for a gig
Was what I chose to do
The folks were wowed by gigs so loud
It made us deaf (who knew?)
They always had to turn it up
Until our ears would bleed
To scramble brains with decibels
Is every sound-man’s need
Aging rock-and-rollers now
Are old and in the way
So please speak up so we can hear
