MY SHORT EXAMINATIONS
Delving into wacky stuff
Keeps my mind quite busy
And I just can’t write enough
Some I write for birthdays
And then some I write for laughs
I sometimes wax political
Or simply point out gaffes
I write about the world I see
I write to entertain
I try to keep it upbeat
Not to nag or to complain
From time to time you find me
And you walk right up and greet me
To get to know my readers
Is a joy ‘cause it completes me
So I’ll keep writing poems that make
The nouns and verbs absurd
I’m not the kind that ever finds
He’s at a loss for words
