Jeff Burkhart’s ‘Rhyme and Reason’: Best Wishes

March 9, 2014 by Jeff Burkhart Leave a Comment

I WISH I HAD A MILLION BUCKS
A fast Italian car
A super-model wife, my friends
I’d be the best by far
I wish I were a movie star
With lots of avid fans
A football stud adored by all
The people in the stands
Well money can’t buy happiness
And cars crash into walls
Model wives can ruin our lives
And stars meet their downfalls
Football guys get broken knees
Occurring as they’re rushin’
Their brains get soft as pudding
From their multiple concussions
So there I’d be in misery
I might as well admit it
I’ll be more careful what I wish
‘Cause one day I might get it
