EASTER IS THE TIME OF YEAR
That Christian folks embrace
Their happy children trying to find
A dyed egg’s secret place
Chocolate bunnies sit on shelves
And Peeps are everywhere
The smell of hams and candied yams
And pies beyond compare
All that’s nice but when it’s done
Make time for some reflection
To think about a sacrifice
And faith in resurrection
A hopeful message to us all
No matter what religion
A loving man who changed the world
Is Easter’s true tradition
