I look down to see my “wrist”
And “watch” the seconds pass
The hands of my old wristwatch
Always turn beneath their glass
I guess I’m just a throw-back
To an older, simpler age
For telling time the younger folks
Think iPhones are the rage
Depending on the clothes I wear
I take time choosing whether
I wear a watch that’s band is made
Of silver, gold or leather
It seems that style is losing ground
And doesn’t matter much
Gent’s watches will just go the way
Of hats and ties and such
Maybe I’ll tattoo a watch
That goes around my wrist
But then the time would never change
Just think of all I’d miss
