Jeff Burkhart’s “Rhyme and Reason”: A New Year’s Dream

December 31, 2017 by Jeff Burkhart Leave a Comment

December 31st I dreamed, a New Year was at hand
I saw the world in harmony, and fellowship with man

There were no wars or borders, and all people were respected
The Earth was joined as one you see, and no one was neglected

There was a path for every soul, to work and gain some wealth
And doctors everywhere chipped in, and cared for people’s health

Buddhists, Jews and Muslims, Christians, Hindis and the rest
And folks of every color, wished each other all the best

I then regained my consciousness, and woke up with a start
If I don’t keep this to myself, I’ll tip the apple cart
