MONEY ISN’T EVERYTHING
But it is still a lot
Money came in handy
Buying everything I’ve got
They say it can’t but happiness
But I remain in doubt
The rich look like they’re having fun
As they jet-set about
Some extra loot to spend on stuff
Is handy that’s for sure
I wonder if great wealth gets old
As quick as being poor
They say that if you hate your life
The cure’s not having plenty
The writers of these sayings
I am betting don’t have any
As for me I’ll carry on
Through times both rich and tough
No matter how much bread I have
It’s never quite enough
