May 22, 2020 by Editor Leave a Comment

Gallerie Renee Marie is open by appointment only on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

BENICIA – Thirty international female artists working within GLOBAL ART PROJECT, a mixed media collaborative collective based in 17 countries, continue their Pandemic-impacted exhibition of innovative paintings, fiber works, installation, photography and prints demonstrating the diversity and concerns of women culture workers and arts practitioners.

“Gallerie Renee Marie continues its exposure of GAP artists as well as Benicia-based , Calif., national and international artists in an innovative program of excellence and inclusion,” said Carl Heyward, curator and art director. “GENDER GAP : side-steps issues of exclusion and under representation by simply and powerfully allowing the creative impulses of these exceptional artists free reign within the gallery space.”

Due to the easing of restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the gallery anticipates “normal” access to the exhibition briefly, but in an over abundance of caution. Private by-appointment-only viewing is presently allowed on Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. through registration at artspeak2020@yahoo.com.
