Friday Poetry Corner: James Garrett “Turn Left”

June 1, 2018 by James M. Garrett 1 Comment

Turn left, turn left, turn left the pray,
Towards the movement on the path for him walking away.
Turn left again, and again, to stay.
Once more to be here for another day.
Turn left once more for the life known so well.
As known to the heart as the peal from a bell.
Turn left to where the dust may settle,
Or turn right, and move to test his mettle?
Turn left, turn left, turn left the pray,
But turned right were the steps as the walk led away.
