Smoke at The Chill, a First Street wine and beer bar, prompted fire crews from Benicia and Vallejo to evacuate businesses in the immediate area as they searched for a source.

“Yes there was a reported fire,” Benicia Fire Department Chief Jim Lydon said just before 2 p.m. Monday. “We located smoke in the Chill, however have been unable to determine the source of the smoke as of yet. Crews are still at the scene assessing various potential sources.”
