The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High boys varsity volleyball team improved to 3-0 in the Tri-County Athletic League with a 25-11, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19 victory over host Hercules on Tuesday.
Hercules (1-1) got off to a poor start but shocked the Bruins in the second game to even the match. SPSV had trouble putting the Titans away down the stretch but managed to secure the victory.
Deo Boongaling led the Bruins with 18 kills. Mark Perez added eight kills, six aces and 11 digs, and teammate Patrick Basco had six kills and eight digs. Other standouts for the Bruins included Anthony Olmes (24 assists), Matthew Peters (five kills) and John Cuevas (six aces).
SPSV will take part in the Campolindo Jamboree on Saturday.
