Bob Livesay: Deputy City Clerk Kate Gibbs moving on

Special to the Herald

The city of Benicia is losing a very valuable and loyal employee. Kate Gibbs is a very well-liked city employee, both by city staff and any residents that she comes in contact with. My experience with Kate has been only positive and, more importantly, very reliable.  Employees like Kate are not easy to come by. This city is losing a very valuable asset.    Will there be a capable replacement? I believe that to be true, but when having in place an employee that can contribute now and in the future is something that is hard to come by. She will be going to the city of Concord in a very big upgrade to match her very valuable talent. *   This city will miss Kate very much. It’s very hard to replace such a shining light who has a very positive attitude. Let’s hope that at a later date, Kate will return to the city of Benicia and use her talents back here.
Kate, I wish well and am looking for a return engagement to the city of Benicia. I know, Kate, that you will have very fond memories of this city and all its employees. We will miss you, Kate. Stay in touch.
