Benicia’s Big League all-star team was its own worst enemy Tuesday during a 6-3 loss to District 57 in the Northern California Tournament at the University of the Pacific in Stockton.

Benicia committed six errors on the night, spoiling an otherwise solid outing from starting pitcher Jonathan Holmes. Nick Derouaux had a couple of hits but Benicia’s offense remained relatively silent most of the game.

It was Benicia’s first loss of the tournament. Benicia (1-1) will play an elimination game Thursday night against either District 5 or District 59.
