Benicia High’s boys tennis team stayed perfect in the Solano County Athletic Conference with a 9-0 victory over visiting Vallejo on Tuesday.
Nate Tabtab (No. 1 singles), Rajon Bhatia (No. 2), Alexander Valencia (No. 4) and Aidan McAninch (No. 5) were each 6-0, 6-0 winners for the Panthers (2-0), who have yet to drop a set in singles or doubles this season. Anders Knutstad won his No. 3 singles match, 6-0, 6-1, and Emerson Elbro was a 6-1, 6-2 winner in No. 6 singles.
Benicia didn’t drop a single game in doubles against the Redhawks. Andrew Butawan and Emad Abdul-Wajid teamed up for a 6-0, 6-0 victory in No. 1 doubles. Brian Hung and Nick Menjibar (No. 2 doubles) and Katsuya Wako and Christian Chaves (No. 3) were also 6-0, 6-0 winners.
The Panthers play at American Canyon on Thursday. Benicia has won 216-of-234 games so far this season.
