Colorful balloons will highlight the eight galleries on First Street that are participating in the Benicia Art Walk this Saturday, Sept. 8. All eight galleries will be featuring new works by several artists and will be serving refreshments during their afternoon receptions.

A map of all eight participating galleries is available at each location. They are Gallerie Renee Marie, Lindsay Art Glass, Milinda Perry Salon and Gallery, HQ Gallery, Gallery 621, Benicia Plein Air Gallery, Once Upon a Canvas and The Little Art Shop.

A prize drawing for a $160.00 credit towards the purchase of art at any of the eight galleries is being held during the Sept. 8 Art Walk. To enter the drawing, go to any of these galleries and pick up an entry form. Then go to each of the eight locations and have the form signed by one of the gallery docents. When completed, leave the form at the last gallery you visited.

The winner of the prize drawing will be notified by phone or email and you will have 90 days to select your artwork. There will be hundreds of amazing art pieces to choose from, including paintings, etchings, photographs, watercolors, sculpture, needle arts, drawings, glass and many more!

The Art Walk is held from noon to 7 p.m. While you’re downtown, enjoy the great food, beautiful views and historical sites of Benicia! Sponsored by VisitBenicia.org and the Benicia Alliance, the Art Walks are held on the second Saturdays of June, July, September and October. The next Art Walk will be Saturday, October 13. It will be the final Art Walk of 2018.
