Benicia Biz Beat: Cookware sale to help Humane Society

THE 18TH ANNUAL MEYER FACTORY OUTLET COOKWARE SALE, Dec. 4-15, will help the Humane Society of the North Bay. During the sale, Meyer will accept any customer’s check, cash and credit card donation to the Humane Society and will match those donations, up to $15,000.

The company has two Solano County stores, one at 525 Curtola Parkway, Vallejo, and another at 2001 Meyer Way, Fairfield.

Customers will be able to buy brand-name cookware, including products by Anolon, Farberware and Rachael Ray, at up to 70 percent off, and can download a 30-percent discount coupon at www.meyer.com/sale.

Among the items to be sold are cookware, bakeware, tools, cutlery, tea kettles and stoneware.

Daily hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except for the opening day of the sale, Dec. 4, when the stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stacy Dinsdale joins Bombshell Hair and Ink

Stacy Dinsdale has joined Bombshell Hair and Ink, 120 East G St.

Dinsdale specializes in men’s and women’s cuts and color, and does facial waxing, permanents and children’s cuts.

She fomerly worked at Supercuts and Benicia Studio One, and has been in the hair industry for more than 14 years. She attended beauty school at Solano Community College and has pursued advanced training throughout her career.

BIPA to hear about Marin Clean Energy

Benicia Industrial Park Association will hear Dec. 3 from representatives of both Benicia and Marin Clean Energy, recently chosen as the city’s new energy provider for those who don’t decide to stay with Pacific Gas and Electric.

The presentation will be an overview of the change, any possible impact on local companies and how customers will be switched to MCE unless they chose to opt out.

The meeting, at the Benicia Yacht Club, 400 East Second St., is open to BIPA members, but reservations must be made by Dec. 1.

Cost is $20 per person, which includes lunch. Seating is limited.

The meeting will start at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 3. Those interested may call 707-745-2120, and send reservations to the Benicia Chamber of Commerce, 601 First St.
