Benicia Biz Beat: Ballet co. merges with dance school

TWO OF BENICIA’S DANCE SCHOOLS have merged to be come Benicia Academy of Performing Arts, a spokesperson said Monday. Benicia Ballet School and Susie Harper School of Dance began their merger this summer, Renee Albrecht said. Both are long-time operations in Benicia, each with its own followings.

New county court judges elected and appointed

Judge Robert C. Fracchia has been confirmed as the incoming presiding judge of the Solano County Superior Court, the current presiding judge, E. Bradley Nelson, announced last week. In addition, Judge John B. Ellis has been elected the incoming assistant presiding judge of the court, starting Jan. 1, 2016.

Tesoro settles air quality case for $4M
