County gets funds to fight disease, domestic violence

Solano County has been awarded a $3.69 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to prevent chronic diseases, and $750,000 in federal grants to reduce domestic violence, officials announced Thursday.

Vallejo ferry to run on schedule

The Vallejo ferry will operate Friday on its normal schedule, according to MacKenzie Communications, the agency handling media services for San Francisco Bay Ferry. That ferry service, which includes the Vallejo ferry, will not be on strike Friday, according to a statement released Thursday by the firm.
