Learn to ‘bird’ at AmCan workshop

Benicians and others can learn about birdwatching during a special workshop and birding walk at American Canyon Wetlands, said Cheryl Harris, spokesperson for Napa Solano Audubon, which is organizing the workshop. “Participants will start small. This workshop is focusing on hummingbirds as part of Audubon’s ‘Hummingbirds at Home Project,’” Harris said.

Air District calls end to stubble fire burn season

The stubble fire burn season will end Wednesday in the San Francisco Bay Area, said Ralph Borrmann, spokesperson for the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. That’s the last day the district will give permission for stubble burning, he said.
