County water agency gets federal mine grant

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded the Solano County Water Agency, along with Westside Sacramento Integrated Water Management Group, a $467,378 federal grant to assess contamination of abandoned mines in four counties, U.S. Reps. Mike Thompson and John Garamendi said.

Finance Committee to review, not audit, Measure C funds

Benicia Finance Committee will receive quarterly reports on the city’s income from the 1-cent local sales tax hike approved by voters last year as Measure C. Police: Suspects in attempted kayak theft may be linked to earlier burglary
