‘Frog Prince,’ ice cream at Capitol Park on Sunday

Visitors to the Benicia Capitol State Historic Park can see the play “The Frog Prince” Sunday afternoon, presented by Fratello Marionettes. Then they can stroll to the park’s Victorian garden for an old-fashioned ice cream social with hand-churned ice cream, Mike Caplin, spokesperson for Benicia State Parks Association, said.

Worker injured by falling roof

A construction worker was injured and an alleyway at 925 West Fourth St. was blocked after a car shelter collapsed Monday morning, Benicia Fire Department Chief Jim Lydon said. The man suffered minor to moderate injuries and was taken by Medic Ambulance to a nearby hospital, Lydon said.
